The opportunity
Isolana served a fragmented, recession-resilient market in Catalonia with a long-standing customer base of small renovation contractors. The thesis was to expand the store network and improve unit economics through better procurement.
What we did
We opened new stores, upgraded the digital tools used by contractors, and led a category-management overhaul. We also added an Operating Partner with deep retail experience to the Board.
Outcome
Exited in 2019 to a leading European strategic acquirer.
